The difference in cost between contended business broadband that is subject to peaks in demand and a fixed bandwidth high speed data circuit with guaranteed levels of service is becoming ever lower. There are three levels of Ethernet services available from LAN Support.

Business Ethernet

Higher-grade un-contended internet facing data circuits with speeds from 2Mbps to 10GB and business grade service level agreement levels. Services can either be delivered as internet facing or point circuits, providing connectivity to data centre locations or between client sites.

Ethernet first Mile (EFM)

Un-contended Ethernet circuit delivered cover copper to the client site. Speeds from 2Mbps to 10Mbps available supplied with a managed router monitored 24 x 7 x 365. Suitable for running mission critical VoIP traffic.

FibRE Ethernet

Un-contended Ethernet circuit delivered over fibre to the client site. Speeds from 10Mbps to 10Gbs available supplied with a managed router monitored 24 x 7 x 365 and 99.99% SLA guaranteed.

MPLS Circuits

Adoption of our IP based hosted services, an ever-increasing demand for webex and video conferencing, together with the need to connect to data centres and private clouds have meant not only greater bandwidth requirements but also the necessity to manage that bandwidth more effectively and to prioritise real-time traffic and mission-critical data such as voice over simple email and web browsing.

MPLS or Multi-Protocol Label Switching connectivity from LAN Support offers private networks, designed to carry voice, data and video traffic between locations on a corporate network. Our MPLS networks are designed to prioritise different data traffic types to run between sites on a corporate network. These networks can connect home works, office locations and data centres on the network with bandwidth from 2Mbps to 10Gbps depending upon requirement.

MPLS networks are designed to deliver traffic from site to any site, rather than traditional hub and spoke type networks where there is an inherent single point of failure.

SIP Trunking is an IP-based phone line service to replace traditional ISDN connectivity. Phone calls pass to and from the PTSN) Public Switched Telephone Network) using VoIP. We integrate our SIP Trunking service with the appropriate data line from our portfolio to ensure that call quality is assured at all time.

Customers can retain their current range of telephone numbers and in the event of circuit failure can have all direct dial numbers re-directed to a different location.

Our SIP trunks can be specified to carry from 4 to over 100 trunks when specified with the appropriate supporting data circuit. Where a customer has SIP trunks connecting multiple sites all ‘on – net’ calls between sites are free of charge.
