Stephen Johnson

Managing Director

Stephen joined the company in its inception back in 1993 as a telesales executive after obtaining a HND in Business and Finance. Stephen quickly went on to win major tenders and corporate accounts including Bank of Ireland, Unilever and AT&T. By 2001 Stephen was well established as an integral part of the LAN Team and was promoted to General Manager, guiding the company into the SME sector providing managed I.T. support services before progressing to the role of Managing Director in 2007. Stephen still plays an active role in all business areas but is mostly focused dealing with new business activities and Account Management. With over 16 years of providing I.T. sales, project management and account management Stephen is one of the most experienced within the SME I.T. Support sector. Away from the work place Stephen enjoys travelling around France, sampling red wine, Clay Pigeon shooting, Real Ale and is kept very busy with family life with his wife and 3 children.

Mark Nalder

With over 10 years prior experience working as an Accountant for a Dutch multi-national company based in Lincolnshire Mark headed south and work briefly for a large Blue Chip Environmental group before joining LAN Support in 1997. Mark has been the FD for LAN for 10 years and deals with everything figure based. Mark can also be found 'as FD's do', wearing several other hats including Human Resources, Health & Safety, Operations etc. Out of the office Mark is a very keen motorcyclist and enjoys biking across Europe. He also has a passion for photography which he is very, very good at, and spending time with his partner and three girls.

Iain Hendry

Senior Account Manager

After spending two years completing a Business Management Course, Iain initially worked in the printing industry. Joining LAN in 2001 Iain has worked his way up the company, starting as the office junior. He is now our most Senior Account Manager with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the world of I.T and Account Management. Iain currently holds the MLSS (Microsoft Licensing Sales Specialist) certification and is hoping to gain the top level MCP in Microsoft Licensing in the not too distant future. Away from work Iain plays Semi Professional Football for Leatherhead FC (the mighty Tanners) and has recently been presented with a Testimonial Football match for his 10 years service. He is also a keen golfer and is a member at Milford Golf Club.

Ellie Cannon

Junior Sales and Technical Administrator

Finishing college in 2007 Ellie had a brief sabbatical before starting with LAN Support in May 2008. Ellie has hit the ground running and has quickly become a key and integral part of the administration team providing admin support to both our account management and technical service departments. Ellie is currently studying for her MLSS certification and is keen to progress into the challenging Account Management team within 3 years. Ellie is a keen Man U fan 'from Guildford of course' and likes all things most girlies like at her age - Facebook, IPod, Twitter, movies, her ever changing mobile phone and the pub.

Jeremy Taylor

After leaving the University of Lancashire where Jeremy obtained a HNC in Computer Aided Design he went on to work for 'Graphex Industrial Art' involved with client design consultancy which in turn led him to office based and field sales. From there Jeremy spent 6 years with Opus Technology (Tiny Computers) and learnt his trade within the I.T. Sector to a senior level. Jeremy joined our New Business Development Team in 2001, to increase and diversify our client base within the Professional Services SME sector. In 2005 Jeremy left the company after several years for a yearlong sabbatical returning in 2006 as Head of New Business Development. Outside the office, Jeremy enjoys sailing, windsurfing, tennis, swimming, croquet and mountain biking (having recently completed the 'London to Brighton' Cycle Ride).

Nic Byrom

Nic is our unchallenged Microsoft Server, Exchange and network specialist - in fact he's our resident super techie - every company has one, but probably not as good! Nic completed his PC Engineering Diploma in South Africa in 1996 and has since gained his full MCSE and CCNA. Nic came to the UK in 2001 and joined LAN Support as a Senior Support Engineer in the same year. Nic was promoted to Technical Services Manager in 2005 and runs a technical team of 15. Nic is extremely respected by all work colleagues and clients alike and really does command advanced knowledge of IT infrastructures in small, medium and corporate business environments. Outside of work Nic enjoys Fly Fishing, Bowls (Twice national bowls champion, SA), Running, Spending quality time with the family.

Gerry McGuffie

As one of LAN Support's more senior Technical Engineers, Gerry started out in I.T back in the 1980's in world of Software Sales. After having been caught by his sales manager at the time taking the packaging out of the software box and looking at what the software actually did, it was time to move on and progress into the technical arena, with a new company. Gerry then spent more years than he cares to mention at Sunguard, a multi Billion pound software company as a pre sales technical consultant within the Banking and Financial sectors. Gerry joined LAN Support in early 2004 as Help Desk manager and has since then moved into the field, now regularly attending and supporting a list of our client's network infrastructures. Gerry is fully qualified in Microsoft based server and client technologies and has a wealth of onsite experience. Gerry has focused his talents to the small-medium business space which he feels is more dynamic and challenging. Out of work Gerry is a very keen Golfer and plays off a handicap of five and runs a Golf Society, if any one fancies a game!

Carley Schooling

Help Desk - 2nd and 3rd Line

Carley started her IT Career as a 1st line help desk support operative for Motorola in 1997. After several years Carley progressed and soon left Motorola for a new career and took an IT Manager position for Reeds Solicitors. After spending several years at Reeds which was also a client of LAN Support, she finally joined us in 2005 and became a member of our external team supporting client's onsite via our IT Manager support service. In 2007, Carley then joined our Help Desk support team where she remains as a highly valued and liked member of our support team, our customers find her very patient and always helpful. Outside of work Carley is a keen horse rider and also competes at dressage to a very high level.

Peter Holman

Before joining LAN Support in 2004 Peter worked for Help-the-Aged as an IT Manager. Peter created and led a very successful help desk which was dealing with 200 plus cases per day. Peter is one of our senior support consultants and engineers. Peter has focused his talents to the small-medium business space where his technical and people skills offer great service. Bringing with him structured support process, and enterprise-level support experience, he actively thrives on implementing IT Solutions for small businesses whereby he can directly see and manage the fruits of his labour. Outside of work Peter enjoys not being hassled and not being at work.

Before joining LAN Support in 2006 Adam was a sales consultant for Help Desk software specialist Richmond systems. After several years and basically wanting a new challenge Adam found an interest in I.T. Security and perused our vacancy. Adam has since become a popular member of our team and can advise and consult on security issues and security solutions from Anti Virus to high-end Firewalls. Outside of work Adam enjoys running, Rugby, Gym and has recently completed a 26 mile Triathlon all in the name of Charity.

After obtaining a Science & Management of Health HND Steve started out working as a personal trainer along with teaching exercise classes full time. The Millennium appeared and diversity was in the air and Steve took a keen interest initially in website design and completed a part-time college course which led to another and another which in turn led to a total career change & even more IT based study by 2001 Steve obtained his first IT Certification. Steve has since progressed to obtain the prestigious Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and the ITIL/ITSM Foundation Certification for excellence in managing Help Desks. Life outside of work: Steve is married with a young family, he enjoys playing the guitar & jamming with other musicians whenever he can and tries to keep himself reasonably fit with regular trips to the gym.

Mike Coxon

After leaving college Mike commenced a Sales position for a leading software firm based in London. After several years Mike moved on to another company not so local and moved to the Middle East to work for some years before deciding to return to the UK to settle down. Mike joined LAN Support in 2008 and has since become a I.T. security consultant and provides presales and professional consultancy to our clients on areas such as network security, gateway security, SPAM filtering and Anti Virus solutions. Outside work Mike is a keen Morris Dancer and hopes to gain a place in the UK Morris dancing team for the forth coming Morris Dancing Championships to be held in Brehmen, Germany. Really Mike??!

Yannick Wilson

Yannick fell into IT via the UK's number one toy producer in 2004. When he realised playing about with kids toys could not really be justified, blackberry's, server's and pc's took over. He joined LAN Support in early 2007 as the appeal of walking to work sounded good. He is now an established engineer and an excellent project consultant, working at clients sites every day, miles from the office. He is currently in the formality of obtaining the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Accreditation and has an Upper Second Class degree in Business Information Management. Outside of work he enjoys lazy Sundays, coffee, variation of sports, photography, guitar, the list goes on.

Lee Steadman

Before joining LAN Support in 2007 Lee was running a home I.T. Support business which was so successful that he soon could not manage his own success. While working on one particular project Lee needed additional help and drafted in LAN Support whom he found on the Microsoft Website. Soon after Lee joined LAN Support and merged his client base into the LAN team leaving him a little less stressed. Lee was already a very rounded engineer before LAN but has grown and strengthened his talents. Lee is currently working on client sites most days and maintaining a portfolio of around 14 clients. Outside of work Lee likes motorcycling, cycling, socialising, rugby and going to the pub for real ale.

Jonathan Stent

1st Line Support - Help Desk

After leaving college Jonathan went on to Northampton University to achieve a 2:1 honours degree in Computer Science. Since leaving University in 2005, Jonathan has had a variety of jobs until managing to find the door into the IT industry. After initially taking a 1st line support and administration role when joining LAN support in late 2007, Jonathan has developed his skills and is now a valuable member of the helpdesk team, dealing with 1st and 2nd line support calls. Jonathan is our Help Desk anchor man, so very often it's Jon who will answer your call. Jonathan is also currently studying to become a Microsoft Certified Professional. Out of work Jonathan enjoys socialising with friends, and is interested in a number of sports. Jonathan supports the not so mighty Watford FC, who will soon dominate the world of football, ok! Jonathan also likes to keep active by playing tennis at his local tennis club and will soon be taking on the world's best on Wimbledon centre court.

Jon is one of our support consultants and engineers. Having several years experience at the corporate end of the market, Jon decided it was time for a change and decided to join LAN Support in 2004. Jon brings to LAN a structured support process and enterprise-level support experience, which has benefited both our clients and colleagues. He thrives on implementing IT Solutions for small businesses whereby he can directly see and manage the fruits of his labour. Jon is a keen Man U fan from Guildford although he does go and see them once a year! He also enjoys socialising with his friends and playing with anything I.T. related.

Sophie Wheeler

After completing 'A levels' and leaving college in 2006 it was not long before Sophie joined the LAN Support administration team in early 2007. Sophie has since risen from the position of junior administrator to head of procurement for LAN Support's wide range of equipment manufacturers and software vendors such as DELL, Hewlett Packard, Sony, Symantec, Citrix, VMWARE, Kaspersky and Microsoft. Sophie regularly attends new hardware and software product launches and training events, passing on and arranging either sales or technical training with these vendors as required. Outside of work Sophie enjoys travelling, food, and being out and about with friends and family.

Maria Titcomb

Maria started working for LAN Support in May 2006 as a part time accountant while still studying. Reporting directly to the FD, Maria is involved in purchase ledger, debtor chasing and producing the monthly management accounts. Maria has completed the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) in 2007. Outside of work Maria is a part time taxi driver for her twin teenage boys, Treasurer of the local youth football club, is on the school PTA, enjoys growing her own veg. and escapes from it all with long walks with her dog in tow. Maria is also a regular at the yearly 26 mile Moon Walk in London.

Neil Patmore

Web/Graphic Designer

Neil started working at LAN Support in April 2004 and heads up all of our web site design and build services. Neil has over 15 years experience in the creative design and Internet marketing industry, and has worked for some major brands such as Pizza Hut and EDS. Neil was also involved in the government initiative during the late 1990's to ensure all Government Offices within the UK had an internet presence by the year 2000. During his spare time Neil plays golf and is a member of Puttenham Golf Club. Both Neil and his Wife are very active fundraisers for CHASE Hospice Care for Children and organise various events such as Golf Days, Pamper Evenings and Summer Fun Days, and last year raised over £10,000 for the charity.
